This community service activity aims to increase public awareness and understanding of the law regarding legal protection for women and children in Babatan Pilang, Surabaya. The main problem faced by partners is the low level of public legal literacy regarding the rights of women and children as victims of crime and the available legal protection mechanisms. The methods used were legal counseling, interactive discussions, and direct legal consultations with residents of RT.03 Babatan Pilang. The activity was held on May 15, 2024, with the involvement of lecturers from the Faculty of Law, Wijaya Kusuma University, Surabaya. The results of the activity showed an increase in the community's understanding of the law, as demonstrated by their active participation in the question and answer session and case consultations. In addition, the community began to be able to identify forms of violence against women and children and understand the preventive and repressive measures that can be taken. The outputs of the activity were electronic mass media publications, video publications on the Faculty of Law's YouTube channel, and articles submitted to national community service journals. This activity emphasized the strategic role of higher education institutions in improving community legal literacy as an effort to prevent violence against women and children.
