Waste management remains a significant environmental issue faced by many rural areas, including Krandegan Village. The increasing volume of household waste that is not supported by an adequate waste management system has resulted in various negative impacts on the environment and public health. This study aims to analyze the condition of waste management in Krandegan Village, identify the factors contributing to the low level of environmental cleanliness awareness, and examine the role of Community Service Program (KKN) students in empowering the community through environmental cleanliness initiatives. The approach used in this program was participatory and educational, carried out through observations to identify the initial condition of waste management, followed by direct socialization with residents to emphasize the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness and utilizing the provided waste bins. The results of the activities indicate that waste problems are not only caused by limited facilities and infrastructure, but also by low levels of public understanding and awareness. The KKN program, implemented through the provision of waste bins, cleanliness campaigns, and education on waste sorting, has contributed positively by encouraging behavioral change and increasing collective awareness among the community in maintaining environmental cleanliness. Although it has not completely solved the waste problem, this program has successfully laid the foundation for more sustainable community-based waste management. Therefore, the involvement of KKN students has proven to play an important role as agents of change in supporting the creation of a clean and healthy village environment
