Pemberdayaan Penyandang Disabilitas melalui Kampung Inklusi di Kabupaten Banyuwangi pada Dinas Sosial Provinsi Jawa Timur

Abstract

Empowerment is an effort to improve social functioning for vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities. An appropriate empowerment model to be developed for persons with disabilities is community-based by involving various parties so that it can run effectively. The empowerment program implemented by Dinas Sosial Provinsi Jawa Timur is a form of community-based rehabilitation targetting people with disabilities through the "Kampung Inklusi". Empowerment activities at the Community Self-Help Group (KSM) "Sekar Wangi" in Banyuwangi is one of the districts/cities in East Java has succeed in implementing empowerment for people with disabilities. This study uses a qualitative evaluative approach. The aim is to evaluate the empowerment program "Kampung Inklusi" at KSM "Sekar Wangi" in Banyuwangi so that it can produce recommendations for future program development. The data used are primary data and secondary data, primary data obtained using in-depth interviews. The research findings show that there are supporting factors and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the "Kampung Inklusi" empowerment at the "Sekar Wangi" KSM. Empowerment for people with disabilities implemented in community-based rehabilitation "Kampung Inklusi" for the development of potential, independence, and the realization of empowered disabilities.
